The tour begins with the arrival in Florence, a Renaissance city, with its most important monuments, such as the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapel, Palazzo Ruccellai, the Duomo and the Baptistery, the Uffizi with its majestic paintings, and the Accademia Gallery, famous for Michelangelo’s sculptures. We will also visit the unknown Florence, such as the Brancacci Chapel, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens. We will continue the discovery of Tuscany and its beauties, heading towards one of the main wine areas: Chianti. The next stop will be the beautiful medieval city of Siena, universally known for its huge historical, artistic, scenic heritage, as well as for the famous Palio held in the Piazza del Campo. We will move towards the hinterland of Tuscany, with its famous countries and history. Certaldo, the birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio, San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers, and Volterra with its historic center of Etruscan origin. We will continue towards the Tuscan coast to visit Lucca, its historic center and its intact city walls of the Renaissance period, and then continue towards Torre del Lago where we will visit the Villa where the famous composer Giacomo Puccini lived and worked. Then we will visit Pisa and the Piazza dei Miracoli, a large walled area, recognized as an important center of European medieval art and one of the most beautiful architectural complexes in the world.
